Senior Crew

We are Senior Adults, 65 years old and older, or retired, who are looking for ways to serve our Lord, our church and our community. We meet on the second Thursday of each month (and at other announced times) for fellowship and learning experiences.

We invite you to come and join us -- put some excitement in your life!

In the past year we have...

...gone to a play and brunch at Missouri Baptist University.
...gone to the Amish Community in Illinois for lunch
...gone to the Lincoln Library in Springfield
...we celebrated our 5th Annual Banquet
...visited Shaws Garden and the Omnimax Theater
...had a Fall Bonfire and Weiner Roast in the country
...had a health Fair in November
...took a trip to Our Lady of the Snows for a Christmas Dinner

Coming Attractions

Movie and Indoor Picnic

On Thursday, July 10th the Senior Crew will present a full-length movie entitled "Ruth" in Laker's Hall at the church. The movie will start at 10am. There will be popcorn and soda to snack on during the movie. After the movie we will have a catered picnic lunch consisting of Pulled Pork, cole slaw, beans, chips tossed salad, rolls and bread plus dessert. Lunch will be served in Laker's Hall. The price of the lunch is $10.00 per person, payable at the door. There is a sign-up sheet on the Senior Adult bulletin board. Please sign up if you plan to attend so that we will know how much food to order from our caterer.

Health Fair

Breakfast in the Park

Out annual Breakfast in the Park was a huge success with a delicious breakfast and a good program. Our thanks to all who had any part in the preparation, program planning and clean-up. The weather was quite warm but a nice "breeze" kept it comfortable. Approximately 70 members and guests were present.

A 2008 Wish: May you have the senility to forget the people you never liked anyway, the good fortune to run into the ones you do like, and the eyesight to tell the difference.
