FBCLSL Worship Ministry Service Opportunities

Worship is an integral part of our services at First Baptist Church, Lake St. Louis. We offer a blended style of music that is biblically sound and glorifies God. The bible tells us to: "worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs." (Psalm 100:2) "Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts." (Colossians 3:16)

The Worship Ministry at First Baptist Lake St Louis offers several opportunities to serve including our Celebrations Choir, Praise Team, Praise Band and on our Audio/Video Production team. If you have a heart for Worship, you will find a place to serve here at FBCLSL.

MUSIC OPPORTUNITIES

Celebration Choir

We want to honor God in all that we do, recognizing our purpose is to lead people in worshiping God through music, and to create an environment in which they may connect with God and experience worship. Our choir sings at the Sunday worship services and at special events. The choir is open to anyone 16 years of age and older who has a passion and desire to sing. No audition is required. Choir scheduling and rehearsal times TBT.

Praise Team

The Praise Team vocalist are a group of singers who serve God and our church at the Sunday worship services and at special events. Vocalist work together with the Worship Leader, band and choir to lead the church in songs of praise. Vocalist dedicate extra time at home to work on vocal parts, which is in addition to the time spent in rehearsal, so that the singers might be more prepared to lead and engage in worship. Open to ages 16 and older. Rehearsals are every Wednesday at 7:30 PM following our mid-week service and Sunday morning at 8:15 AM. Auditions are required. The Praise Team Band is a group of talented musicians who serve God and our church at the Sunday worship services and special events. They are skilled in reading music, as well as playing from chord charts. Our team consists of keyboards, guitars, bass, percussion and specialty instruments on occasion. Open to ages 16 and older. Auditions are required.

Audio/Video Ministry Opportunities

The A/V team assists the pastor and worship ministry in enhancing the worship experience through audio and visual aids.  They provide audio and visual support for worship services, Bible studies and special events. They attend all rehearsals. Their ministry is utilized each Sunday morning for Worship, on Wednesday nights for Bible Study, and other special events as needed.  We need people that are interested in sound, lighting, video and media.  No special skills or training required. You learn by shadowing our experienced technicians. If you are interested in joining our A/V team, we can teach you everything you need to know.
